About Us: Mighty Oak Farms is located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. We are dedicated to providing the freshest, tastiest, locally grown produce available. Our farm is committed to offering chemical free and naturally grown fruits and vegetables at affordable prices. We take great pride in the fact that our produce is either grown on our own farm or grown directly for us by small family farms, personal vegetable gardens, and fruit orchards within a 90 mile radius.
Most of our growers are members of Mennonite and Amish communities in the Shenandoah Valley and Cumberland County, PA. They not only have been farmers for generations, but also employ timeless methods for raising fruits and vegetables without using synthetic pesticides. Mighty Oak Farms also offers a wonderful CSA program* to the local community. This program provides members with weekly produce in large or small shares.

Products: Wide variety of vegetables (free of pesticides, herbicides, and synthetic fertilizers) including heirloom tomatoes, cherry & plum tomatoes, eggplant, sweet & hot peppers, swiss chard, lettuce (asian mixes, spring mixes, romaine, butterhead), onions, garlic, garlic scapes, beans, cucumbers, zucchini, spinach, bok choy, yellow squash, carrots, beets, radishes, basil, cilantro, parsley, and more. We also sell eggs from our heritage breed chickens fed a high quality, soy free, organic diet.
About Us: On Simple Grounds Farm grows healthy vegetables using simple farming practices on 2 1/2 acres right here in Warren County. We use no herbicides, pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or plastic mulch. Our farm embraces the principles of sustainability through the use of water saving drip irrigation, composting, solar electricity, minimal tillage, and peat free soil starting mix. We farm from the ground up! We prepare beds for planting using a broad fork. To boost the level of nutrients available to our plants, we incorporate homemade compost and grass clippings before each new planting. All of our seedlings are started and grown on the farm. While all of the "horse power" the farm is provided by Larry, the electrical needs of our farm are provided by a grid-tied 1.4 Kw solar array. We believe that our efforts result in tasty, healthy vegetables prepared without damaging our environment. We love the Front Royal Farmer's Market and the opportunity it has given us to connect to the community. We look forward to providing fresh local veggies to the residents and visitors of Warren County for many years to come!
